Exhibit: French in North America

“The French in North America: An Enduring Presence” a travelling display from Western Michigan University, is currently being exhibited in the Leddy Library. The exhibit is here to complement the biennial conference of the Midwest Association of Canadian Studies, which will be held at the University of Windsor late October. Historic photographs, drawings and maps guide the viewer through 400 years of the French presence in North America.

The display consists of fifteen graphic panels, each 54″ wide by 42″  high, and a slightly larger introductory panel, and was constructed to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Québec. WMU faculty and graduate students selected images and wrote text for the exhibit, and designer Joe Hines oversaw design and fabrication of the panels.
