Google Scholar + University of Windsor
Jonathan Rochkind has sussed out a very cool functionality of Google Scholar: the ability to embed institutional preferences in a given link.
The Leddy Library has an institutional id of 14209629193777280020
Using this ID, you can create links that will automatically bring up Get It! links in Google Scholar search results by following this format:
http://scholar.google.com/scholar?hl=en&inst=14209629193777280020&q=windsor+ontario

Wait, I think you figured out more than me! I saw that institutions with a special Sakai setup could do that for their Sakai — but have you figured out how to do it with an ordinary Google Scholar registration? I see it’s actually Paul in the comments to my blog post that figured this one out, nice! How do you figure out the id for your institution to use in the &inst= parameter?

I just followed Paul’s instructions!
